Welcome to the Surgery Support groups where you’ll learn proven simple mindfulness based tools to help reduce the stress and anxiety of surgery and to help you recovery quicker with less pain.
Why attend? Surgery can be stressful. Fear of the unknown and new pain during recovery can make you feel helpless. Our class offers a different experience, one of ease and reduced stress. Whether you're waiting for surgery or recovering from one, you are welcome to join us.
As a certified mindfulness teacher since 2016, I’ve seen how mindfulness can transform lives. It’s secular, simple, and effective. Studies show mindfulness helps with depression, stress, pain, anxiety, and more. By increasing awareness of your thoughts, you gain the freedom to choose supportive and truthful thoughts aligned with how you feel.
Practicing mindfulness based techniques helps you take charge of your thoughts, preventing them from ruining your day, week, or life.
I share evidence-based, simple, mindfulness techniques that help you:
Lessen worry before surgery.
Let go of catastrophic thoughts.
Manage pain effectively.
Trust your body’s healing process.
Reduce anxiety about the future.
Allow yourself guilt-free rest post-surgery.
Regulate emotions and return to a calm state.
Reconnect with your body post-surgery with confidence.
We end with a Q&A to address your specific questions.
Anyone waiting for surgery.
Anyone recovering from surgery.
Whether your surgery is elective or not, these groups are for everyone.
I love helping people feel at ease, in control, and joyful, regardless of their circumstances. After experiencing two surgeries myself, I created this group to share the profound benefits that simple mindfulness techniques had on my own journey with surgery.

After my own recovery, my surgeon, Nick Eynon-Lewis (ENT surgeon at The Royal London Hospital), saw firsthand how mindfulness played a crucial role in my healing. Since then, he has been referring patients to me, including those with tinnitus, to help them benefit from these practices.
